Lamps & Magnifiers at discount prices
Dazor magnifier lamps (above) are sturdy and of highest quality. Grandmother bought one 20 years ago, and is still using it (along with the original bulb!) Choose a base suitable for your situation (castors, pedestal or clamp). The lighting is flourescent, and the magnifier is optical glass for clarity. When you want the best, get a Dazor lamp. Daylight lamps are an economical alternative to Dazor. They are a bit less sturdy but offer more features than the Dazor on the models that are similar. These lamps come with the full spectrum "daylight" style bulbs. We love them. Lots of options. Ott lamps are special because of the True Color light bulbs. These light bulbs generate a white light that shows the full spectrum of colors accurately and without distortion. (The lamps are not particularly special - its the bulbs). The portable light uses a 13 watt flourescent and has a carry handle. Great for classes or travel. Try the flip up magnifier version for sorting small items, colors, and such. The floor lamp uses a larger bulb is moderately adjustable. The Ott light clamp on is best where you need some adjustability, but don't really want a big floor lamp. Visual Mate |
